In 2009 the nobel peace prize comitte lost the defention of "peace" and awareded the nobelpeace prize to Barack Obama.
However this year they re-discovered what the prize was meant to be about and awareded it to a true hero.
Chiness activist Liu Xiaobo.
Xiaobo: who is in a Chiness jail for his part in the anti-communist protests of 1989, has been a fearse critic of the authocratic marxist rule which has plauged China for decades. Earlier on this year the Dalia Lama (who also won the peace prize in 1989...) Along with other's sighend a partition stating that
Xiaobo deserved the peace prize.
The chiness government has condemed the award saying that the 5 man panel in Norway re-warded it to a crinnimal.
Xiaobo's "crimes" include demanding basic civil-liberties and calling for free elections which the communists have constantly refused.
I would like to congratulate Liu Xiaobo for this great victory!
And for trying to bring freedom to an opressed people.
also it is nice to see the Nobel committe make up for laster's years disaterous choice...
