Victory in Europe day reperseants the time peirod when the capitalist and marxists powers along with some smaller nationalists teamed up to defeat the fascist dictators Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussilini...Sadly all these ideolagies couldn't stay together after the war(because they were all power hungry hypocrties.)

On this day Churchill gave a self-rightous speech about how Ireland refused to help in the war...(Ireland WAS AND IS a netural country we do not get invovled in wars that are started for profit or power - we don't want to invade other lands...)
which Éamon De Valera would later respond to on the 16th of May (see my channel on youtube were I favourited that respone.) NOTE: Éamon De Valera was an Iriish republican revoultaionary and at that time was prime minister of Ireland.

I mentioned all that to show a darker side to Chruchill who is considered a national hero today...Chruchill is far from that if you go back to the 1920's you'll see he's sort of indirectly reponsable (along with other's) for the Irish civil-war.

Stalin meanwhile -another "hero" today used the defeat of nazism to take over Eastren Europe and set up dictatorships there.
And America well they took the credit for everything despite the fact they did very little in the war...

But on this day an evil ideolagy (Nazism) died and the world COULD have and SHOULD have been a better place but it wasn't..
Because of the Cold war!
