A poem for the 4th of July.

(I won't be here on the 4th of July when America won it's independence from English impreailism....So I thought I'd write my 'tribute' to America now and you can find it again to read on the 4th of July through my blog index thing at the side...Anyway enjoy my little peace on the most influenical country in the world...NOTE: influenical doesn't have to mean good.)

A poem for the 4th of July.
(A tribute to America.)

This land that upon this day has declared,
Through revolution and blood, independence,
Is now the leading country on our stage,
Known as America. On this day of grace the 4th of July,
It was decided that British rule would die in America.

They became an independent and to their own point a views a great state.
Why is it then that they feel the need to wallow in bloodshed and greed?
They suffered under colonies hence why make colonise out of other countries?
Tell me oh ‘land of the free’ when will Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and more,
Get full freedom from you? Tell me when you invaded Vietnam, did you really,
Give a dam for their freedom and their health, or were you after your own wealth?

When you invaded Grease or dropped a bomb on Japan,
Did your noble thoughts of sovereignty cease to exist then?
The bombing of Cambodia led to a dictatorship!
Did your moral stance on democracy slip for that country?
When the Vietnamese took out Pol Pot did your CIA men,
Not attempt to put him back in? Thankfully you failed to win with this.
So when you celebrate on the 4th of July your impendence…
Can you seriously look the people of Cambodia, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and more in the eye,
And say ‘we did not mean to bleed your countries dry’? Or will you still put your money were your morals were and take their oil….? And while your at it why not spoil their ruling elected governments?
Why not let governments that obey you into their countries? Is this your stance on freedom today?
Or did it go array sometime ago? I fear that the answer is not no.

The mutilated children in Vietnam thanks to your chemical weapons ‘uncle Sam’
Should they stand and fight on your side for western capitalist pride?
Tell me do the people of Cuba love you after ’63 when you tried to string their government from a three?
Maybe the native American’s love you and celebrate independence day…For when you chose to slay them,
I’m sure they thought of your love….Love through the barrel of a gun.

Should we not on this day sing for true American’s such as Martian Luther King?
Who stood up for the supposed freedom in your land? I still fail to understand,
How you can sing songs of national liberty and yet not allow this virtue to other countries.
Please tell me if you are true to the belief of freedom then where is the relief for the poor?
You say all that is good and stage all that is bad to be honest it’s rather sad.

So I come to this conclusion on the 4th of July,
We the people of the world should celebrate the old America,
Which now it seems has to die. The America found on morals not money,
The closest thing to a land of milk and hunny. For you once chose to be free,
But now can you still tell me that you are? How far can you go with your corporations spreading woe?
So I pay my respect to the America which looked after all it’s citizens, who did not invade other lands,
Under a tirade of self-righteousness….The America that is there today however,
Seems doomed to stay, Obama, Bush, Regan, Clinton; their all the same…Old America’s,
Dreams now burn in a flame of shame.
