Maoists claim that the GLF (Great leap forward) wasn't Mao's fault...That most of the blaim for the failure of the project lies with Mao's "middle men."
However if Mao was the ruler of China shouldn't he have kept an eye on these middle men? He was officaly the chairman of the CCP and the central commiitte. If he's in that postion he has the responsabilty to check and cross check the reports and findings and claimed succses of his advisors and middle men.
If he did not do t his it simply means he was a bad leader.
Maoists claim that Mao's invasion of Tibet wasn't an impereailist invansion.
that "sertian area's of Tibet were already part of China."
Oh ok....So if these "sertian" areas where already part of China what were the other areas that weren't...? (Sertian implies that only SOME of Tibet was part of China) so Mao still is guilty then of an imperailist invansion over at least part of Tibet. They say that Tibet might be allowed have independence today from Imperailist China.
So hold on China is imperialist now towards Tibet....Yet when Mao invaded it, it was not imperailism it was saving the country? So modren day China is an imperailist dictatorship and yet Mao's China was a libertating benavolent (imperailist) dictatorship? Right...yea that's not hypocrasy!
Apperantly the Dalia Lama had slaves and Mao respected the Dailia Lama....(Maosit claim) so did Mao respect his slaves? Or did that little hypocrasy slip the Maoists minds...?
Maoists say that Mao didn't order anything to be destroyed during the CR (Cultural revoultion) and that Red Guard franctions took it upon themselves to create damage.
Once again Mao should have kept a lookout for what they were doing...He shouldn't have just assumed that the entire army was vritues and wouldn't have questioned his rules (he would have got a shock if he had been in Peronist Argentina). Any deaths, ruins of failures during the CR even if they wren't deliberatly done by Mao are still his responsabilty simply because he was the head of the communist goverment. I'm not saying other party memember's weren't responsable but if Mao didn't trust the "reformists" inside his party then shouldn't he have done something quicker about them...? I guess not he was to busy.....You know been a watchful intellegent leader for all of that crap.
China's economy grew in the 80's not the 60's...Mao's goverment bankrupted China during the CR.
Finally it is suggested that we read "The battle for China's past: Mao and the cultural revoultion". But how biast is this book? Is it writen by a Maoist? If so then all of the claims and so called facts should be questioned in it straight away.
In short Maoists have a somewaht misguided view of history (thogh so do capitalists and I don't believe Mao was a two timing adulterer like some capitalists say he was). However to defend imperailism and then talk about it's evils and other such things is just hypocrtical! Maoists get real....
NOTE: Sorry for the bed spelling mistakes...The spellcheck on the blog won't let me change them for some reason...I've tried to but they still show up as the same mistakes when I publish what I've wrriten.

China is a big country. Do you know how many middlemen they would need? A lot. You try watching all of them. Furthermore, you ignored everything else I said about the CR, about how the Part issued protective decrees towards artifacts.
